Alleluia! Christ is risen!

Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Dear friends, we are entered into the joyful Eastertide. And what gems of resurrection truth we have from Holy Scripture today and tomorrow. Our Psalm 148 takes us back to God’s original righteous creation and brings us into the New Creation of Jesus Christ, risen and ascended. We find the apostles fearlessly teaching the resurrection in the Temple, sprung out of prison by angels, speaking the Truth of Christ to the Council in Acts 5, and returned to the Temple, preaching Christ. Saint Peter, in his first Epistle, illuminates the wonder and glory of your resurrection victory in Christ. And best of all, from Saint John 20, Jesus Christ on Easter evening brings His peace to cringing and frightened apostles, and gives them His Church, the place of His presence, Sacraments, and forgiveness. Thomas was not there that night and demanded a sign so that he could believe. Are you looking for a sign? It is here! The Word and Work of Christ Jesus in the Divine Services of His Body the Church. Come! Obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Christ the King Lutheran Church Saturday 5:30 pm. Sunday 9:30 am. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
