John the Baptist comes out of the desert to preach repentance and amendment of life. We really don’t like to actually consider the facts of life and eternal life in this 21st Century. Nevertheless, in ourselves we are “the brood of vipers” fleeing from “the wrath to come.” Only in Christ Jesus do we escape the righteous wrath of God who never takes excuses or participates in blame games or our pride and self righteousness. Come and receive His gifts of forgiveness and Life in His Word of Truth and in His Body and Blood. Receive His own righteousness for yourself. And “bear fruitin keeping with repentance,” Christ the King Lutheran Church Saturday 5:30 pm. Sunday 9:30 am.
